I must first say I'm sorry for my lack of French! However I would like to share with you my rototiller Simar A series. I found it at a local auction and luckly paid little for it. I've been fiddling with it when I've had a moment, but not yet started the engine, however I have a working mag made by Lucas in Egland. The one big problem I have is that it is missing most of the spring tines, so I am seeking replacement tines. Does anyone know where I could source these?
I think the model may be an A5 d imported by Geo Monro to England, as it has an English mag as stated in there brochure, however it does not have a plate with the model on so I can't be sure. On voit bien la différence de magnéto par rapport à mon A4, sur celui-là la sortie HT est sur l'arrière alors que sur les machine Suisse la sortie est sur l'avant, le carter est lui aussi différent.

Thierry, yes the mag is different I'm not sure if it's original or not. Is the original magneto made by Simar like the engine? Your machine is very nice, it looks to be in much better condition than mine, but still I hope to be able to restore it to till my garden with!

j'ai remarqué que le magneto scintilla notamment était bcp utilisé pour certaines moto.
Certains ont déja essayer de l'adapter sur un motoculteur?
Le modele que j'ai pu voir est extérieurement fort similaire.

Etienne thank you for your welcome. Yes it seems there are about half a dozen in England that are "Known about". I wonder why more seem to have survived in England than in Europe, do you know if more were exported to england, I would think this would be unlikely tho. Or maby in Europe the gardeners/ nurseries upgraded more often for the latest model!
I'll let you know when there is progress.
